Sunjel does not create any soot, ash or toxic fumes and is completely SMOKELESS! Walls will not discolour and as chimneys are not needed, heat does not escape, making Sunjel 100% heat efficient.
Sunjel is made from Isopropyl Alcohol, (commonly known as 'rubbing alcohol') a natural alcohol derived from sugarcane and corn. It has added sea salt and organic thickeners and burns cleanly. It is water soluble and completely biodegradable as all ingredients in Sunjel are from natural renewable resources, making it a safe and environmentally friendly product to use. It has received the highest accreditation for indoor use.

Although our mantle style models look built-in, they are all free standing units, making them great for APARTMENTS & TOWNHOUSES where previously a log burning Fireplace was not possible. When you move, the Fireplace moves too!

Up to three canisters of Sunjel can be used at a time, each canister lasing up to three hours depending on room humidity. Three cans yield 2.6kw (9000 btu's) of heat which is equivalent to a 1hp air conditioner. Although Gel Fireplaces are a decorative piece of furniture, three Canisters of Sunjel will heat a small room and take the chill out of a larger room. Homes with air-conditioning benefit mostly as they have the heat - but no ambience.
